Young people, tourists and travelers alike, from the ages 18 to 30 and who want to travel and work for up to 12 months in Australia may apply for a
working visa for Australia specifically the Working Holiday visa.
Working Holiday visa is a type of
work visa to Australia that allows visa holders for a working holiday in Australia and to supplement the cost of this holiday through periods of temporary or casual employment.
The Working Holiday visa is under the Work and Holiday visa program of Australia that is designed to encourage cultural exchange and closer ties between arrangement countries.
Through the Working Holiday program, Australian regional employers are assisted by this program by encouraging holders of Working Holiday visa to look for short-term and casual work in specified industries in regional Australia.
This type of
work visa for Australia permits visa holders to stay for a maximum of 12 months from the date of first entry to Australia, regardless of whether the visa holder spends the whole time in Australia. Within a year of the issuance of the
working visa in Australia, the visa holder must validate the visa. Within the validity of the
working Australia visa, the holder may enter and leave Australia as often as they wish; however, the time spent outside of Australia is lost and cannot be re-claimed towards the one year validity period of the visa.
